We partner with various organizations, making donations and contributing to causes that reflect our values. From local heroes to creative projects, we’re committed to initiatives that enhance our community.

2024 & Ongoing Donations & Support
Airdrie Food Bank
In 2024 we are donating technical expertise, glaze, studio space, and kiln time to fire 1000 bowls for the Empty Bowls Arts Festival organised by the Airdrie Food Bank on September 15th 2024.
This family event features local musicians, artists, children’s activities, a silent auction, a free soup lunch and handmade pottery bowls for purchase. All proceeds raised during the event directly support the Airdrie Food Bank, providing emergency food support to individuals and families in our community.

Since 2023, we have been sponsoring Funk and Disorderly hosted by the wonderful Christy Thompson.
From 2020 to 2023 we sponsored the now-discontinued show Knotted Roots hosted by the equally wonderful Stefan Lewis. If you are lucky, you might catch Stefan’s skillful mixing at one of our date nights!
d.talks
We love d.talks! We were excited to donate our space and time to them this summer for their d.talks in Conversation with the architect Clark Thenhaus and the writer and poet Sally Njoroge.
Northern Star Mother's Milk Bank
Since 2018, Workshop studios has been creating ceramic memorial stars for Northern Star Mother’s Milk Bank’s legacy wall.
Skipping Stone
We have been supporting this fantastic and vital organization since 2019 with donations in kind and Workshop Studios organized fundraisers.
Ssubi Foundation
Since 2023 we have been providing in-kind donations for their yearly fundraiser.

Since 2022 we have hosted a clothing bin donation at our studio and donated over $3,200 to the organization.

Since 2018 we have donated to Tree Canada to offset the environmental impact of energy use at our studio.
