Championing Wellness: Meet the Independent Therapists Who Enrich Our Community & City
Looking for space? Questions?
We occasionally have professional offices for rent. Please find more info here: Grain Exchange Offices. If you have any questions about our team please reach out to our studio manager.
We are proud to host a small but mighty team of independent mental and physical therapists and counsellors. We deeply value the work they do to support both our studio community and the broader city. Their dedication to mental and physical wellness plays an essential role in fostering a healthier, more vibrant environment for everyone they serve.
MEET THE THERAPISTS / COUNSELLORS
ASHLEY PERRY
Hi! I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist, but more importantly, a passionate, relationship-driven explorer who brings these qualities to my work as an SLP. I believe wholeheartedly that building engaging and individualized connections to my little people is the most important foundation for success in therapy, regardless of their targeted communication goals. Fun, purposeful play and connection are the cornerstones I strive for during every session.
I’ve worked with children and families in an intervention context for over 20 years, receiving my MSc. SLP from the U of A in 2011 and as a ‘front line’ staff prior. I’ve gained extensive experience providing services in homes, schools (inclusive and specialized sites) and community settings in Alberta and abroad (Uganda!). Assessments and therapy are provided for children with delays or disabilities from birth – teenage years.
When I’m not working, I am slightly obsessed with buying, planting and propagating house plants, hanging out with my ‘(hopefully) therapy-dog-in-training’ puppy Harlowe, sneaking away for some time in nature and fantasizing about my next travelling adventure! I’m so excited that I get the pleasure of providing SLP services out of the gorgeous and invigorating spaces of Workshop Studios, and outdoors in the surrounding natural spaces of the neatest and quirkiest little community of Inglewood, where I am also lucky to be a resident!
FEEL BETTER CLINIC
Feel Better is a multi-disciplinary clinic offering Massage Therapy and Osteopathic Therapy. Direct billing is available.
Kelsie Hjorleifson RMT Massage Therapist
Guided by trauma-informed practices, Kelsie utilizes the slow, relaxing flow of relaxation massage with focused deep-tissue techniques to best suit each client’s comfort and best achieve results. Each session is an opportunity to tune into the body and feel better.
Danny Martin M.OMSc Osteopathic Manual Therapist
Osteopathy is a study of association. It’s seeing the way systems of the body, like muscles, arteries, nerves, and organs are connected to one another and how they simultaneously share stress and relief. When we have a positive effect on one part, it cascades outwards to the whole body. It becomes a holistic approach to healing.

KRISTIN BOETTGER
I’m Kristin- I’m a visual artist and have also been practicing as an art therapist and counsellor for over 20 years. Combining art and therapy has always been a natural fit for me. I see healing as a creative process and aim to bring that perspective to everything I do. I believe deep work can be done with joy and humour and I aim to provide a safe, inviting space for people to feel, learn and heal. On a good day, I’m flowing between counselling clients, painting, drawing, gardening, yoga-ing, walking my dog and spending time with friends and family. My learning edge right now is participating in a working group to examine systemic barriers to mental health for racialized youth, as I work primarily with young people in YYC. I’m also in the process of developing some online offerings and look forward to launching those in Spring 2023.

RACHEL CADRIN
I am passionate about healing and doing the work that is necessary to step into the innate power that lies within us all. I believe healing is a life-long journey; one that we continually embark on the more self-work we choose to do. My passion is walking with people to support them on their healing journey and aid them in stepping into their power.
I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor and Art Therapist. I specialize in working with children and parents to foster attachment, improve communication, and form respectful connections. I work with those who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, divorce, attachment issues with parents and partners, eating disorders and disordered eating, grief, and narcissism. I utilize aspects of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused, Art Therapy and Narrative Therapy to support and guide those who choose to work with me. I believe in honouring and validating one’s experience in order to move towards fulfilling behaviour patterns and a fulfilling life.
I am a yoga instructor and I bring mindfulness, breathwork, and when appropriate movement into my sessions. I look at health from a holistic approach and I consider all aspects of the human condition in the work I do with clients.
When I am not in the office I can be found playing/snuggling with my pups (Chicken & Wally), going for walks, paddle boarding, and reading. I love being in nature and I get out to the mountains or to the lake as often as possible.
Please reach out to me at rachel@wholesoulhealing.ca to inquire about the services I offer or to set up a free 15 minute consultation call.
